- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Western Union Manoeuvres. DESCRIPTION: At Mounts Bay, Penzance, the Fleets of Britain, France, Holland and Belgium gather for combined exercises in the Bay of Biscay. Admiral McGrigor, C-in-C of the Fleet, receives the French and Dutch opposites aboard the flagship Implacable. On the Dutch cruiser Tromp, Prince Bernhard entertains officers of the navies and Field Marshal Montgomery who is a guest of Admiral Sir Rhoderick McGrigor during the exercises. SHOTLIST: KS. Guard of honour formed up on deck of flagship "Implacable". Below deck, officers in conference over maps, include Admiral McGrigor, Admiral Lambert, Admiral Willings (Dutch) etc. MS Dutch "Tromp" Prince Bernhard piped aboard, shakes hands with officers. Combined officers aboard "Tromp" includes Field Marshal Montgomery. McGrigor & Monty - SCU McGrigor, Monty & Bernhard. Group, McGrigor, Monty, Leopold, Lambert & Willings. CU Monty & Leopold, drinks offered & refused. Aerial - aircraft carrier "Implacable". Elevated GV divisions on board carrier & dismissal. CU Monty & McGrigor - VERY GOOD. Finish on aerial of fleet in bay.
