MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hospital Bomb Debunked. DESCRIPTION: Streets were closed, hospitals, houses and businesses were evacuated while the unexploded bomb was removed by the Royal Engineers in the vicinity of Tottenham Court Road. SHOTLIST: KS. GV University Collage Hospital, Deserted streets, closed railway (underground) stations, signs reading "unexploded bomb" etc. Interior - hospital patients in beds (x4), one boy questioned. Warrant Officer lowers drill into hole where bomb is. Major Knight takes fuse out of bomb. Lays same on ground. Bomb being brought to the surface. Troops & officers heaving on chain. Bomb hauled towards lorry. Cut-in of hospital windows crowded with nurses etc. watching proceedings. Matron talks to officer in charge.
