MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Glorious Goodwood. DESCRIPTION: A large crowd, the majority of them holiday-makers, had a thoroughly enjoyable day, if not profitable, for the start of the Goodwood meeting. SHOTLIST: KS. GV racecourse & grandstands. Pan of grandstand & course. Cut-in crowds on racecourse. GV paddock - horses parade - cut-ins fashion etc. GV start of race & trucking shot of race. Elevated GV of finish. ‘Photograph’ pulled up into position by judges box. MS photo-finish. "The Bite" wins.
