MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hop Festival. DESCRIPTION: At Paddock Wood, Kent, the first full-scale Hop Festival was held, there was a barmaids race, a beer tasting competition, a contest to find the bonniest baby and Miss Shirley Goddard of Camberwell was elected Hop Queen. SHOTLIST: KS GV hop field. GVs hop pickers. Barmaids race in which girls take a quick drink at the end of a run and return to starting point. Beer tasting contest.
