MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Australia’s Severest Floods. DESCRIPTION: On the North Coast of New South Wales, Army DUKWs came to the rescue of residents of the town of Kempsey where floods have caused havoc. The death roll was very heavy and when the water subsided, the trail of wreckage it left behind was tremendous. SHOTLIST: Aerial shots of floods. Army DUKWs taking supplies to people. Parcels being handed down, women collecting parcels. Shots of the men from the army fixing up signal equipment. Soldier talking to someone on the radio. Various shots of the aftermath. Shots of mud.
