MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Present Parliament to End. DESCRIPTION: With the dissolution of Parliament, everybody is thinking about the General Election which will take place on February 23rd. SHOTLIST: KS. GV Houses of Parliament. GV ditto & dissolve. SCU newspaper headlines giving date February 23rd as General Election date. Conservative, Liberals & Labour posters. GVs Downing Street. CU No 10 & close-up of door. CU Mr Attlee. CU Mr Clement Davies. CU very good, Mr W Churchill. Several Cabinet Ministers, arrive at No 10, including A Bevin, Strachey, etc. Harold Wilson enters No 10 with pipe in mouth, as does Emanuel Shinwell. SOUTHAMPTON - Night shot of flying boat - not very good. MS & SCU Mr Churchill in Trinity House uniform acknowledges cameras to finish.
