- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Us Plane Crash Test. DESCRIPTION: At a base in California - a new experiment in aid of greater flying safety. Using (at first) a dummy known as Captain G, they’re trying to find out the effects of sudden stops at high speed. SHOTLIST: KS. US volunteer puts on protection clothing. Rocket-driven vehicle on rails speeds along into camera, stopping suddenly. CU dummy person inside & being lifted out. Volunteers enters vehicle, vehicle speeds along rails, SV & semi-into camera. Automatic camera shots - CU of volunteers reactions. Stepping out of vehicle afterward.
