- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: In Search of the Common Cold Germ. DESCRIPTION: The Ministry of Health Research Unit at Harvard Hospital, Salisbury, has been investigating the common cold; and volunteers (human guinea-pigs) have been living in pairs for ten days at a time. SHOTLIST: KS. Car drives into gates of hospital. Girls lift luggage off. Matron escorts two to chalets. Doctor greets two girls. Interior - girl lying on bed & doctor putting drops (germs of cold) in her nose, other girl look on. Meals brought round on trolley, left outside door. They then come out and take same in. Interior - girls eating meal. CU of both girls individually sneezing. SCU Norman Fisher sneezing. In laboratory, scientists making tests, use various instruments. Cartoon - "cold germ". Interior two girls voicing their opinions on their stay at the hospital.
