Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Paris Police Battle Communists. DESCRIPTION: In Paris, just before Easter, there were some pretty rough scenes in the Champs Elysees, as the police came to grips with about 1500 communists. It was said to be a demonstration against the right-wing newspaper Le Figaro. SHOTLIST: KS. MS police fighting with Communist rioters. In the Champs Elysees. Communists fighting with police & civilians. Police vans arrive with additional police, running fights take place. Injured being taken away, arrests being made, restaurants in boulevards, their chairs being thrown at one another & broken. Fighting in general.
