Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: His Holiday Awheel. DESCRIPTION: Since it looked promising on Good Friday, out from towns streamed the cyclists, seeking sun, air and exercise in the countryside. What a rest cure are those wide horizons. How ennobling to the mind the gracious expanses of rural beauty. SHOTLIST: KS. Cycling club passing through street. Several shots of club en route through streets for the country. Trucking shot behind club, shows rear of last cyclist - Paul Wyand. Cyclists through Denham village. Club passes pond, spaniel runs up to pond. 4 shots passing countryside lanes. CU sign "The Royal Standard of England" pub. Cyclist stop at inn, drinking tea, Paul spits his out. Paul drinking beer, walks out of inn, finds the club have gone, Paul jumps on his bike & races after them, various trucking shots of Paul racing along lane, camera slowed down. Cut-in Reg Sutton (as farmer) holding fingers to ears, crash - hole in fence - Paul lying at bottom of embankment, on rubbish heap unconscious. Cut-in "Tip No Rubbish Here". Earlier cut-ins of Paul walking up hills.
