- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Korea - Latest Pictorial Record. DESCRIPTION: Captives are filmed by Newsreel cameramen in Korea. Also captured Russian built equipment. Wounded GIs from the front, receive immediate treatment on their way back to base hospitals. In Tokyo, for the first time in history, the United Nations flag is presented to fly in sanctioned battle. General MacArthur received it from General Collings - US Army Chief of Staff. President Truman - who asks for wide powers and great expenditure for the fight against Communism - received a battle report from General Collings who commented on the situation. SHOTLIST: KS. SCU three North Korean POWs. Reds prisoners being interrogated, various shots. Various shots of Russian built armoured car & 76 mm field gun. CUs of various parts of same. GIs being carried from planes, wounded, some giving blood, treatment etc. as they are carried on stretcher from plane to ambulance. In Tokyo, MacArthur receives United Nation flag from General Collings. GV Capitol, Washington. CU Truman serious. Report from front line, delegates leave & on steps outside building. General Collings says a few words about the fighting.
