Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Britain’s Peaceful Bank Holiday. DESCRIPTION: Thousands enjoyed a peaceful time at the seaside but not everyone got a cup of tea in bed first thing in the morning. Territorials, for instance, spending their holiday under canvas at Castlewarren in Wales, were having a pretty strenuous time. SHOTLIST: KS. GV crowded beach. Several shots of crowds on beach. SCU person asleep on beach. CU bugler sounding "Reveille" (at Castlewarren, Wales). CSM walks along rows of tents hitting same with baton. Inside tents, soldiers washing, setting out their equipment. Teams at tug-of-war. Others watch couple boxing. GV of soldiers seated eating in a tent. CU of one eating. Soldiers shooting practice, machine gun, artillery etc. mix to soldiers marching along country lane singing "O What a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" - trucking shot.
