MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lagos Elections. DESCRIPTION: A street scene in Lagos, the Capital of Nigeria - and a big day in the history of the city; for the people were electing their Town Council and, this time, everyone over the age of 21 had a vote. SHOTLIST: KS. Elevated GV crowd in fore with water in background (quayside). Various shots crowds going to the elections. Natives queuing. Interior - people being attended to, entering booths & placing vote in box, counting the votes. SCU at night of successful candidate being announced. Night shots of crowds dispersing after announcement of result.
