DESCRIPTION: French forces in the neighbourhood of Phuly (South Hanoi) have suffered a reverse at the hands of the Viet-Minh rebels; in fact recent fighting has been far behind the frontier line from which earlier withdrawals had been reported. SHOTLIST: KS. GV countryside. French troops marching along countryside. Viet-Minh rebels force them to retreat. Tanks pass along road also jeeps, some go down mud tracks. Panning shot of wrecked post recaptured by French, various shots of same. Elevated GV of camps showing donkeys standing around. Fixing bamboo canes up in section as traps against enemy.
