Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Fans Doubt Farr Verdict. DESCRIPTION: At Granby Halls, Leicester, Piet Wilde, Belgian Heavyweight Champion, met Tommy Farr in a ten round battle. The fight ended, however, in the third round when Farr put Wilde down with a right to the jaw, the referee counted Wilde out - the crowd evidently doubted whether it was correct, to judge by the boos that followed the decision. SHOTLIST: KS. Audience watching. Boxers entering ring (Tommy Farr & Piet Wilde). GVs of the fight in progress, various shots of Wilde jabbing. Farr right to the jaw puts Wilde down for the count, the latter failing to rise in time. Crowds boo verdict, when they were trying to announce the verdict over the mike, Farr with mike in hand. Wilde makes a gesture & walks away.
