MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Eisenhower Takes Over. DESCRIPTION: The supreme commander of the North Atlantic Treaty Forces in Europe got busy immediately he arrived in Paris. He met M Schuman and Field Marshal Montgomery. Meetings followed with Monsieur Moch, Monsieur Pleven and General Juin. General Eisenhower summed up his aims in a brief talk. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. CU Guards present arms. Paris - Eisenhower alights from car, enters the Quai d’Orsay. Interior shakes hands with Schuman. Group of Ike, Pleven, Schuman, Moch. SCU Eisenhower & Pleven. Montgomery walks (exterior) into camera. Eisenhower with Pleven & General Juin. MS French military officials seated at round table. MS Ike also seated. SCU Eisenhower (in Washington) tells of his aims in the new command he now holds. Cut-ins French Household Cavalry as guards outside buildings, present arms, with swords.
