Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Glasgow University Celebrations. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Night shot of University, floodlit. MS & SCU trumpeters. All night - procession leave Bedrule parish church. Colonel Walter Elliot kindles torch. Hands to runner. Runner out of camera. Arrives at Melrose Abbey, hands torch to Provost Lawrie. Runner on road changes over torch with another runner at Abbotsford Lodge Gate. Arrives at Cross Kirk, Peebles. Hands torch to Provost Daniels. Cut-in of runners across country. Actual running at day. At night - arrives Glasgow Cathedral Square, many torch-bearers form up & march through streets of Glasgow to University.
