DESCRIPTION: At the little town of Villefranche sur Saone the French call-up is celebrated; it’s not a case of Z-men, for this is just part of their annual conscription - a sort of last fling in civvy street before joining up. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Elevated GV conscripts in top hats through crowded streets. Various shots of new conscripts dancing through streets. Various shots of old veterans passing along in procession, some riding in horse-drawn vehicles.
