Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Close-Up View for Loco Spotters. DESCRIPTION: Nearly a thousand schoolboy Loco spotters left King’s Cross recently for a trip to Doncaster to see construction and repair sheds there. Their train was drawn by the world-speed record-breaking engine Mallard. SHOTLIST: Cut story - GV Mallard with British Rail insignia on tender. Boys crowd aboard train. MS Mallard locomotive. Train pulls out of King’s Cross, David Samuelson with camera leaning from window. Shots aboard train while travelling, children leaning out of window. Arrive at Doncaster, children swarming over locos, etc. at workshops, looking into boilers. Children crawl underneath locomotive.
