Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Keenan Wins Gory Title Fight. DESCRIPTION: Peter Keenan of Glasgow successfully defended his newly-won British Bantam-weight title against Bobby Boland of Dundee, when they met at Firhill Park, Glasgow. SHOTLIST: Cut story - See CARD 55706, this is identical except that a few shots of the boxing match have been extracted. - No Film In GR Neg can For Longer Version. Cut story - KS. Keenan enters ring. MS both coming out to fight. Various shots of fighting, heads knock & blood starts to run down face of Boland. Various shots during the fight, blood over both of the contestants. Seconds of Boland giving first aid in corner. Referee falls over feet of fighters. Boland attacks hard in 12th round. Fight stopped at end of 12th round. MS Keenan with arms held up, also wearing Lonsdale Belt. Cut-in crowd shots - audience
