MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Funeral of Pakistan Premier. (& Build Up Story). DESCRIPTION: The assassination of Mr Liaquat Ali Khan turned Karachi into a city of mourning; final tributes were paid by foreign diplomats, members of the Government and the Premier’s wife and mother. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Coffin being borne through crowd. MS coffin on ground covered in flowers. Diplomats standing near grave. Governor General Khwaja Nazimuddin passes camera. Ministers walk into camera. Relatives including the wife heavily veiled. Lying in State, thousands file past Liaquat Ali Khan lying on bed, various shots of crowds & coffin lying in state. Excellent Shots - Pakistan flag. Life Story - Various scenes from his life story. CUs and various ceremonies etc. very good materials.
