- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Vincent Massey Installed As Governor-General. DESCRIPTION: After his installation in Ottawa as Governor General of Canada, Mr Vincent Massey, as the Queen’s representative, was about to open Parliament - the first ceremony to be performed after assuming the high office recently held by Lord Alexander. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Interior - procession. Massey walks to chair & sits down after asking members to be seated, speech by Massey. Procession leaving. At beginning Massey is wearing civilian clothes. Outside Parliament Buildings, in full regalia, Massey inspects Guard of Honour. Massey in full dress again walks to seat, addresses both Houses.
