- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: America’s 15th Bomb. DESCRIPTION: The 15th Atom Bomb to be exploded in America was witnessed by several hundred scientific observers and other favoured spectators from a distance. At much closer range, 2000 troops were stationed in fox holes during the blast, before advancing through a dust storm over the scorched earth to a point called Ground Zero. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. SCU Cloud of atom bomb. GV troops congregating at the above. Entering trenches. BMN cameramen prepare etc. People seated to watch same. MS bomb exploding in mid-air, & rocket trails bending after explosion. Various shots all angles of the explosion, showing mushroom shape. Troops out of trenches, walk about in dust storm. GVs of the exploded atom bomb.
