Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Berne Races Bring Disaster & Victory. DESCRIPTION: In the Swiss Grand Prix, held in Berne, four of the seven British cars competing had to give up due to mechanical faults, and victory went to Italy. In the motor-cycle racing an Italian rider lost his life, also David Bennett of Birmingham. The race continued and Jack Brett (Britain) was the winner. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS start of race. Continued. Various shots of auto race. MS car crashing into side of track, turns turtle several times. Winner being chequer flagged. Motor cycle racing over same course, various shots of the racing, SCU Union Flag raised to masthead. CU Jack Brett the winner, with laurel wreath round his neck.
