Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Town Criers Invade Hastings. DESCRIPTION: Hastings was the scene this year for the Battle of the Town Criers organised by the News of the World. The judges have the verdict to Mr Ben Johnson of Fowey - who had already won the title three times. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS pier with criers walking along same. Criers walk through streets, into park. Judges enter tent, includes Denis Noble. Various shots of criers competing for the title. CU winner.
