Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Soccer - Great Britain V Ireland. DESCRIPTION: There were some 60,000 fans at Windsor Park, Belfast for the first soccer international. England who scored first were expected to win, but two goals by Charlie Tully of Ireland looked like beating the English team, until Elliott equalised near the end. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Teams coming out. Crowds. England kick-off (white shirts). Lofthouse scores. General play. Ireland scores through Charlie Tully. 2nd half, Ireland kick-off & score through Tully again. General play. Few minutes from end, England score Billy Elliott scoring. Couple players hurt & taken off field.
