Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Exercise Ardent. DESCRIPTION: In the mock attack on Britain, Canberra Jet bombers were prominent. Meteors were part of the defensive force in the exercise which 1,000 aircraft and 200,000 men and women took part. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Aerial of Meteors. Air to air shots of Canberra bombers. Interior - action in the Ops Room. Officers watching same, also issue orders over phone to squadrons. Warning siren blowing, Flights crew dash for their planes, Meteors. Boarding Meteors, Meteors taxies & taking off in pairs, SV & into camera. Aerial of Meteors in formation & attacking filming plane, pealing off etc.
