Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Tan Wins Grand National. DESCRIPTION: 250,000 people were at Aintree to witness the greatest steeplechase event in the World. Twenty nine runners started the race - nine finished and one of the most thrilling finishes was fought out between Royal Tan and Tudor Line. Royal Tan won for Ireland by a neck. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Slow motion horses jumping over Becher’s, library material. GV crowds, bookies, etc. Start of race. Jumping over the various fences, falls etc. Field thinning out, over last fence, Royal Tan, Tudor Line, who fight it out neck & neck, Royal Tan just wins. Winners enclosure, close-ups of winner, with owner, trainer etc., & congratulations all round.
