Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: French Elections Street Scenes and People Voting. DESCRIPTION: The French Election seemed to leave the country in a worse state of political chaos than before. Polling was heavy and, as in 1951 the Communists got more votes than any other single party. SHOTLIST: CU people study the various posters. Several fast cut shots of posters at various angles. High angle nuns voting. CU various people voting, artisans, farmers. CU personalities vote, President Coty, Martine Carol, Jacqueline Auriol and Monsieur Auriol. CU votes going into box being checked and counted. CU Maurice Faure in polling booth. CU the results board. CU Mr Poujades in shirt sleeves at home.
