- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Boat Race. DESCRIPTION: Cambridge were right on their toes to face the stiffest Dark-blue opposition for years - an Oxford crew with a new rowing method. At Barnes Bridge, Cambridge had the race right in their hands, rowing on smoothly and surely to a magnificent win. SHOTLIST: Shots of the Cambridge team warming up before the race. Crowds. LS start of the race. Various shots of the race. Slip pan to cartoon of a cameraman and his camera in a boat being rowed by a single man trying to keep up with the Oxford and Cambridge crews. Slip pan - MCU one of the teams rowing. Shot from Hammersmith Bridge as the two teams come towards the Bridge. LS towards Hammersmith Bridge as the teams row past the Bridge. Various shots of the race. Cambridge win. Cox stands up in the boat and claps. Slip pan to cartoon.
