MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Labour Party Conference. DESCRIPTION: Brighton was chosen as the background for this year’s Labour Party Conference. Personalities attending included Party Leader Mr Gaitskell (with his wife) and Mr Aneurin Bevan. Mr Anthony Greenwood arrived for an early session, Jim Callaghan behind him and Dr Edith Summerskill of the National Executive Committee. Mr Harold Wilson, Mr Shinwell and Mr Herbert Morrison were also there.
