- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Dewey’s Flagship (SS Olympia). DESCRIPTION: An old-timer that helped to make history, the American cruiser Olympia was Admiral Dewey’s flagship at the battle of Manila Bay. She’s to wear a 45-star flag, for there were only 45 States in the Union in 1898, when Olympia helped to win that famous victory at which the Spanish fleet was totally destroyed. The old ship makes her last voyage, before laying up at Philadelphia as a public memorial. SHOTLIST: No shot list.
