- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rockets Fired From BBC Mast. DESCRIPTION: The BBC’s 700-foot television tower, at Crystal Palace, has been given an unusual stability test. Rockets - each exerting a thrust of half a ton, have been used to stimulate strong wind pressure. They’re fitted 625 feet up. SHOTLIST: GV Crystal Palace Tower. Different angle same.
