The Foro Italico, a big stadium with a wealth of old statues, is a monument to Mussolini’s plans for the 1940 Olympics. War ruled them out, but another older stadium, will no doubt come in very useful when the world’s athletes meet there in 1960. SHOTLIST: GV of Rome. GS of the Foro Italico Stadium. Different angle same. Shots of 2nd stadium which is slightly older in the Marble City. Shots of several plastic models of the swimming pool, and the big Sports Palace. Good view of work in progress for the new Olympic buildings to be ready in 1960.
