- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Attempted Assassination. DESCRIPTION: On a mountain road outside Beirut, rebels tried to kill the Lebanese Prime Minister. A bomb was timed to explode as his car and escort was passing, but another car just in front received the blast. Five people were killed but the Prime Minister escaped death by a matter of seconds. SHOTLIST: MS scene of explosion. LS same blasted car in foreground. LS men round body. CU jeep with broken windows (2). CU smashed motor bike. LS crowd. MS men bring up coffins. MS onlookers.
