- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Muslim Festival. DESCRIPTION: Held in Lucknow, scene of the fateful siege during the Mutiny a hundred years ago - was a Festival of Mourning. It’s part of the Muslim Festival of Moharram, and included a demonstration by devout believers, who worked themselves up into a trance-like frenzy, in which they scourged themselves with knives and chains till they drew blood.
