- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mr Butler Weds. DESCRIPTION: Mr RA Butler, Home Secretary and Leader of the House of Commons, arrived in the rain for his wedding. He was accompanied by his best man, Sir Hubert Ashton. The bride, Mrs Mollie Courtauld, was escorted by her eldest son, Christopher, who gave her away. The wedding was solemnised at the Church of St Mary the Virgin at Ashwell in Hertfordshire, at which few except relatives and close friends were present. SHOTLIST: LS crowd outside church.
