- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Out of the Depths. DESCRIPTION: Over 300 feet down at Key West, Florida, two men made a mock escape from a submarine. It was part of Operation Subscape, a series of tests in perfecting the technique. It was also an attempt on the record for the deepest underwater escape from a submarine. And up they came, hand in hand, shooting surfacewards. A fine example of courage and a sidelight on research into saving life at sea. SHOTLIST: Interior shot submarine - two divers climb ladder to hatch (key). MS two divers pass through hatch in sub and begin surfacing. LS same. Top shot divers near surface. TS divers break surface.
