- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tito Opens Highway. DESCRIPTION: News from Yugoslavia shows Marshal Tito addressing a crowd of some 70,000 people. On this occasion, they listened to his appraisal of the political situation, and the achievements of their own country. Recent achievements include road construction, some of which is done by the voluntary work of students and youth organisations. The Marshal opened the latest section, called the Brotherhood and United Highway. SHOTLIST: President of Yugoslavia Marshal Tito opened another highway link in his country’s network on Sunday, November 22nd. The 110 kilometres between Paracin and Nis, in mid-Serbia, were built through the voluntary work of Yugoslav students and youth organisations and have been named as part of the Brotherhood and Unity highway.
