- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Grasmere Sports. DESCRIPTION: One big attraction at Grasmere was the hound trail. While the dogs were away, there was pole leaping, and a new pole record was set by Jamieson, the holder. Then, the Guides’ Race: the course takes them up to a crag nearly a thousand feet above the arena. It was veteran Teasdale who won. Finally, there were nearly 200 Cumberland and Westmorland style wrestlers. SHOTLIST: LS hounds running. LS pole vault. MS wrestling. LS hounds return to owners. GV guides race. MS Teasdale finishes.
