Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wales V Ireland. DESCRIPTION: Cardiff Arms Park was packed with 60,000 fans, and after two minutes, from 50 yards out, Richards scored with a penalty. This three-point lead gave Wales the initiative, and their resolute rushes at this point were some of the highlights of a largely disappointing match. Nothing came of their efforts, and nothing came of the Irish efforts, either. After half an hour, Richards kicked another penalty. And just before the end, it was Richards again. He went over for a try to give Wales victory by nine to nothing. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS boy climbing pole at Cardiff Arms Park. LAS same MS same. CU crowd. MS boy sitting on cross bar of goal.
