- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cathedral on a Hill. DESCRIPTION: The new cathedral at Guildford, as yet unfinished, stands on Stag Hill. The Queen and Prince Philip attended its consecration, the first cathedral built on a new site in the South of England since the Middle Ages. Princess Margaret and her husband were also received by the Bishop of Guildford. The Archbishop of Canterbury preceded the Royal party in the procession. Then, the Bishop of Guildford pronounced the Form of Consecration, and signed the Sentence of Consecration. Her Majesty added her signature, in witness. SHOTLIST: Key scene interior of Cathedral.
