Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New Police Station - Southend. DESCRIPTION: The police at Southend-on-Sea say that their station is the most up-to-date in the country. So, our cameramen went there to have a good look round. For instance, there is an easy-to-work filing system, the only one of its kind in the entire force. And the main switchboard looks something like a panel for rocket launching! Policewoman Fox was able to supply details. SHOTLIST: Policeman walking along promenade. GV police station. CU notice. Information room several calls being taken. Operator works switchboard. Records room. Photography room. Fingerprints. Briefing room. Map on wall. Tailor pressing suits. Tracker dogs into vans. Horses being groomed. Crook runs away - dog chases him and catches him.
