- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Aba Champs. DESCRIPTION: The best of Britain’s amateur fighting talent met at the Wembley Empire Pool for the ABA Championships. In the bantamweight final, Bennyworth met Rudkin. And when the points were added up, Bennyworth was acclaimed the winner. Victor of the middleweight final was Alf Matthews, seen here in combat with Derek Richards. The light-heavyweight championship provided the evening’s light relief. Contenders Hendrickson, born in the West Indies, and Dave Paley, happily slugged away at each other. It was Hendrickson who won the title. SHOTLIST: MS start of fight (3 shots) fight in progress.
