Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Dreadnought on Trial. DESCRIPTION: Leaving the Barrow-in-Furness yards the Vickers-Armstrong - Britain’s first nuclear powered submarine. The trials of this twenty million pound submarine coincided with an Admiralty announcement that, as well as Valiant, a third submarine has been ordered, costing about sixteen million. Dreadnought was starting the seagoing trials in gale-force conditions - and she completed her first trials successfully. SHOTLIST: Key scene. HMS Dreadnought. MS same. MCU conning tower.
