Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cracking Send-Off for Captain. DESCRIPTION: Captain Easton, who’s been on loan from the Royal Navy to command the Australian Navy’s Shore base at Sydney. A returning officer normally gets a row ashore but on dry land its a tow ashore, a surprise laid on by his fellow officers. SHOTLIST: Captain Easton who has been on loan from the Royal Navy to command the Australian Navy’s Shore Base in Sydney is towed ashore by jeep. LS march past by ship’s band, and ship’s company. MCU pan Captain Easton inspects ship’s company. LS same receiving tow ashore. Stands in jeep - cracking whip.
