Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Question of Adhesion. DESCRIPTION: Mud-Mud-glorious mud, as Motocross contestants try to get a grip during a side-car event in France. They’ve only got one driving wheel, but four-wheel drive and anti-lock braking put the question of adhesion into quite a different perspective. Twenty Police Z cars are being fitted with the Ferguson four-wheel system - and demonstrate its advantages at the Road Research Laboratory. SHOTLIST: GV pan competitors start race in Tarare side-car event in France. MS motor-cyclist through mud. MLS pan ditto. MS pan motor-cyclist round bend. GV pan ditto. 3 shots motor-cyclist up incline. MLS motor-cyclist on bend. 2 shots ditto. MS pan man with chequered flag as winner passes. MLS pan police car demonstrates hazards of braking on wet surface. MLS pan police car fitted with Ferguson Four-wheel drive and anti-lock braking. MS car turns and drives away.
