Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Gaelic Games. DESCRIPTION: A great day for the Irish as the Gaelic Games attract a big crowd of supporters to Wembley Stadium. The ancient game of hurling - and a battle royal between national league winners Cork and all-Ireland senior champions, Kilkenny. To round the day off, the annual Gaelic Football match - this year’s contenders Mayo and Offaly. SHOTLIST: SV band & teams onto field. LV crowd. TV kick off - Mayo play left to right in dark shirts and Mayo attack. SV ditto - player pushes ball over to goal, ball hits post & rebounds. GV crowd. SV Mayo score point (above net). STV pan Mayo attacking up field. SV kick to goal - ball rebounds from post into play. GV pan Mayo kick towards goal for near miss. GV crowd. SV scramble for ball around goal area - ball cleared up field. GV pan Offaly attacking (at 116 player thrown over goal). GV crowd (half time). SV pan Offaly kick ball into goal area - cleared. SV scramble for ball - Offaly player scores over net. Shot behind goal. GV Offaly scores goal in net, pan crowd cheer. LV pan crowds cheering. GV Captain of Mayo with trophy. CU captain with cup. STV kick off - Cork/Kilkenny hurling - Cork playing right to left. SV cork attacking. LV ditto & ball into net, umpire signals. STV midfield play - Kilkenny attack. LV Cork attack. GV crowd half time. LV pan Cork player down left wing with ball. GV pan Cork attack - player swipes ball over net to score. LV crowd. SV captain down steps with cup.
