- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Irish State Visit to West Germany. DESCRIPTION: The Irish President, Dr Patrick Hillery and his wife arrive in West Germany on the occasion of a State Visit, and are warmly welcomed by the German President - Walter Scheel. They tour Bonn and attend a splendid official banquet, followed by visits to various German towns and cities. In Munich, the Lord Mayor greets the Irish visitors who are presented with a commemorative gift. Finally, the Presidential Party departs Munich Airport aboard an Aer Lingus Jet, at the end of a pleasant visit and a beneficial one to both countries. SHOTLIST: GV Bonn.
