- Summary
- COI synopsis: Years of painstaking precision engineering go into the manufacture of a single satellite, fitting it out for its years of work in space. But the long thin shape of most satellites contains a flaw - spinning in orbit, they can develop a wobble which effectively puts them out of action. Now the simple addition of a small flywheel driven by a solar powered motor will stop that wobble and stabilise the craft as it orbits in space.
